What is the CPF?
The Personal Training Account is an individual right: every working person accrues rights each year, from their entry into the workforce until their retirement. Since 2019, the account is powered by euros (and no longer in hours), which simplifies its use.
The government platform MyTrainingAccount (website and mobile application) allows everyone to:
- check the amount available in your account
- Search for eligible training courses by topic, region and date
- Register and pay directly online.
Which training courses are eligible?
The CPF (Personal Training Account) exclusively finances training courses. qualifying or certifying Certifications registered with the RNCP or the Specific Directory, skills assessments, VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience), driver's licenses, or business creation are available, subject to conditions. Training can be taken in person or remotely.
The CPF and the employer: the CPF co-constructed
Although the CPF belongs to the employee, it can be integrated into the company's training strategy in a win-win approach: this is the CPF co-constructed. The employer contributes to the employee's account to finance training that is beneficial to both parties.
Two approaches are possible:
- an approach individual, on a case-by-case basis, in agreement with the employee
- an approach collective, negotiated within the framework of the company's social dialogue.
Some OPCOs also offer CPF co-financing for priority certifications for their sector. Learn more about OPCO funding.
