Service Description
LEARNING OBJECTIVES - Know how to define the characteristics of a psychotropic substance and understand their effects and associated risks - Understand the regulations and responsibilities regarding addictive behaviors in the workplace - Understand the mechanisms of addiction, with or without the substance - Understand the risk and protective factors of addictive behaviors - Know how to react and initiate dialogue with a struggling employee - Understand the specialized addiction treatment centers and their roles CURRICULUM State of the art: findings and figures on the societal context of addictions - Workshop on the perceptions of each drug and addiction - National statistics on psychoactive substances Classification and explanation of addictions - Classifications of psychoactive substances - Presentation of the main addictive substances - Learn about their health effects (immediate and delayed) - Learn about the categories of medications and their effects - Focus on cannabis, benzodiazepines, Alcohol, behavioral addictions, and other forms of addiction. The risks and consequences of addictive behavior in the workplace: regulations - Learn about the regulations regarding illicit drugs - The Highway Code - What are the consequences for insurance? - Labor Code, Criminal Code / Employer liability / Internal regulations / Employee liability - View the employer's means of control and their methods From consumption to dependence: Understanding the phases - Understanding the methods of consumption - What are the mechanisms of addiction? - Risk factors associated with the work environment - Criteria for defining addiction - Protective factors for addictive behaviors - The journey of the person experiencing difficulties - Social/family effects - Therapeutic approach Scenarios: case studies TRAINING LENGTH: 2 days (14 hours) TERMS: On-site or hybrid TARGET AUDIENCE: Members of the CSSCT (Working Conditions Committee) VALIDATION METHODS: Continuous monitoring of trainee attendance and participation in the various workshops. Training available in English
