OBJECTIVES Identify the risk associated with the presence of Legionella Identify at-risk facilities Use Legionella risk prevention and protection tools in your work CONTENT - Legionella: the disease. The bacterium and the origin of contamination - Establishments affected by the risk of Legionella: at-risk systems. Types of establishments. The regulatory context. Classified facilities - Prevention and protection of personnel: General principles of prevention and methods. Use of personal protective equipment. Proper behaviors to adopt. TYPE OF AUDIENCE People working near evaporative cooling systems that disperse water into an airflow generated by mechanical or natural ventilation (cooling towers) Occupational safety officers from companies working on the affected sites PREREQUISITES: None Training validation: A multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) will be given to trainees at the end of the training. Successful completion of this questionnaire will result in the issuance of an individual certificate of completion. Duration: Half day (3.5 hours) Training available in English
