OBJECTIVES - Understand the proper conduct in an ATEX zone - Know how to identify markings on certified equipment - Understand the different protection methods on equipment and the precautions to take during installation and maintenance - Tools not permitted in an ATEX zone - Behavior to follow when working on certified equipment in an ATEX zone - Become aware of the ATEX risks specific to your facility - Understand your facility's ATEX organization, including instructions, zoning, signage, equipment, and ATEX TRAINING CONTENT Theoretical Content • Consequences of an explosion • Regulations (European directives and the French Labor Code) • Definition of an explosive atmosphere • Conditions for training in an ATEX (LEL, LSE) • Ignition sources • Dimensioning of explosion risk zones • Identification and classification of zones: flammable gases, vapors, and dust • Signage • Application to workstations (drafting) of a work instruction) • Intervention in an ATEX zone (drafting a work permit) • Obligations regarding access to explosion hazard zones • Marking of usable materials, tools, and equipment • Preventive measures and safety instructions • Different ATEX markings and protection methods Practical application • On-site visit, identification of the company's ATEX zones and the workstations concerned, reminder of the procedures to follow when accessing these zones, how to supervise an intervention in an ATEX zone (prevention and protection measures, etc.) • Identification of markings in the zone • Drafting a work instruction for a company's workstation and a work permit in an ATEX zone Target audience: Anyone required to supervise a team in an ATEX zone and working on ATEX-certified equipment Prerequisites: None Training duration: Two days (2:00 PM) VALIDATION OF LEARNING A multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) must be completed at the end of the training. Successful completion of the questionnaire will determine the individual certificate of completion. Training available in English
