Service Description
OBJECTIVES - Understand the proper conduct in an ATEX zone - Know how to identify markings on certified equipment - Understand the different protection methods for equipment and the precautions to take during installation and maintenance - Tools not permitted in an ATEX zone - Behavior to follow when working on certified equipment in an ATEX zone - Become aware of the ATEX risks specific to your facility - Understand your facility's ATEX organization, including instructions, zoning, signage, equipment, and ATEX TRAINING CONTENT Theoretical Content • Consequences of an explosion • Regulations (European directives and the French Labor Code) • Definition of an explosive atmosphere • Conditions for the formation of an explosive atmosphere (LEL, UEL) • Ignition sources • Dimensioning of explosion risk zones • Identification and classification of zones: flammable gases, vapors, and dusts • Signage • Application to workstations (work instructions) • Intervention in an ATEX zone (work permit) • Obligations regarding access to explosion hazard zones • Marking of materials, tools, and equipment that can be used • Preventive measures • Safety instructions • Different ATEX markings • Different protection methods Practical application: Site visit, identification of the company's ATEX zones and the workstations concerned, and a reminder of the procedures to follow when accessing these zones. Identifying a Marking in the Zone Target Audience: Anyone likely to work in an ATEX zone and on ATEX-certified equipment, maintenance technicians, electricians (including non-electricians), company employees or external contractors, temporary workers Entry Level/Prerequisites: None Training Length: One day (7 hours) VALIDATION OF LEARNING: A multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) must be completed at the end of the training; successful completion is a condition for receiving the individual certificate of completion.
