This training course on workplace accident analysis will allow you to acquire the ability to understand and analyze workplace accidents, near misses, and high-risk incidents. OBJECTIVES - Prepare an accurate account of the events during a workplace accident - Extract objective facts from a narrative - Connect facts by constructing a root cause tree - Choose relevant prevention measures for the company and employees CONTENT - Introduction to workplace accident analysis: Definitions of a workplace accident. Consequences of a workplace accident for the company and employees. The challenges of prevention and the importance of accident analysis. - Conducting a post-accident investigation as part of an analysis: Gathering information and listing the facts in a narrative; Distinguishing between a fact, an opinion, and knowledge. Managing testimonies and the managerial report. - Understanding the general methodology of the root cause tree: Ordering the facts chronologically. Distinguishing the relationships between the facts (conjunction?). Constructing the root cause tree. - Practical application in the context of a workplace accident analysis: Study of a specific accident - Practical case. Establishing preventive measures. Defining criteria for choosing between established solutions. Implementing and monitoring preventive actions. Target audience: Members of the Works Council (CSE)/Workplace Safety Committee (CSSCT).
